Environment

Through its Environment Department, the Group has implemented an investment and project program to reduce the impact of its operations:

Energy consumption of its buildings, in particular its logistics platforms:

A vast investment program has enabled better insulation of buildings as well as the replacement of lighting systems.
At the same time, an employee awareness plan enabled the implementation of numerous energy efficiency actions which had a notable positive impact.

Optimization of delivery route plans to customers:

Autodistribution has deployed digital tools to optimize route plans and loading of delivery vehicles.

Reduction of packaging:

Shipping spare parts safely requires the use of adequate packaging solutions.

Significant work to optimize the packaging of body parts has made it possible to reduce the use of boxes and the useful volume required in delivery vehicles.

For its part, Oscaro.com now favors envelopes over boxes for its shipments when possible.

Various actions are also taken to reduce the volume of our waste (reuse of packaging, compacting) and make the best possible use of the remaining waste generated.

Greening the fleet:

The Group deploys transport solutions with a lower carbon impact. In France, Autodistribution has identified that around 40% of deliveries to light vehicle customers could be made by electric utility vehicle. A fleet renewal plan is underway with the integration of around fifty clean delivery vehicles in 2024.

At the same time, Autodistribution sites are equipped with electric charging stations.

Our VALUE CHAIN

Beyond its own operations, the Group is acting to minimize the environmental footprint of its value chain by actively contributing to the circular economy in the world of automotive and heavy goods vehicle after-sales.

The Group distributes numerous parts with deposit, for which each sale is accompanied by the return of the old out-of-service part dismantled by the mechanic.

PHE then takes care of all the logistics for returning the mechanic to the equipment manufacturer who will remanufacture these defective parts.

Thanks to its ACR Villefranche return platform, the Group has returned more than 58,000 returnable parts to remanufacturing workshops.

Autodistribution also has its own workshop for remanufacturing defective pumps and injectors: the Plateforme Technique Nationale Montajault (PTNM).

The site collects pumps and injectors that are no longer in use, dismantles them and then repairs them to original standards and according to processes approved by the equipment manufacturers.

In 2023, more than 29,000 pumps and injectors will have been renovated.

The Group also encourages the repair of defective electronic equipment – as an alternative to replacement with new equipment – thanks to its partnership with Cotrolia, a specialist in automotive electronic repair.

Many electronic elements are processed: the computers, the dashboard, the energy manager, the monitor and the multimedia radio navigation elements.

Finally, the Group has formed a partnership with the company Opisto, specializing in reuse parts and in connecting recyclers and repairers.

Several subsidiaries such as Autodistribution or Oscaro offer reused parts from end-of-life vehicles.

The Group also supports its mechanical repair and bodywork customers, and in particular the AD network member workshops, in reducing their environmental footprint.

PHE provides its repair customers with solutions for recovering their waste and supports them with a comprehensive training program so that they repair vehicles using the latest technologies and with a view to sobriety by replacing only what is necessary.
